Atomic Journal

Over the course of your life you will look back and wish you had done better at looking forward.
Journaling is a great idea — but difficult to get right.
Atomic Journaling makes every ounce of difference leading to a sense of calmness and control with all of your most significant ambitions.
Old-Style Journals Are Out:
Every tried journaling but soon found all the Daily/Weekly ‘goal setting’ soon trips you up and leaves you reeling to catch up, re-do lists, start over or give up trying?
That's more common with Journaling than you might have guessed.
Atomic Journaling is different.
An Entirely New Approach:
Atomic Journaling narrows your mental focus with precision.
It gives you perfect balance between strict structure and an natural rhythm.
It collects your most valuable projects and puts you squarely and firmly in control.
And it does so with utter ease — so in tune with the natural process of the mind's ability to experiment, learn and adapt you'll find it a joy to keep your Atomic Journal.
...whether it be professional management, service business management, maker/creator projects, or fully committed personal ambitions.

What To Expect:
Deep Productive Focus
Atomic Journaling is a paradigm shift in not just keeping track of your thoughts and progress — it literally encourages your mind to up its game for deep focus and ease of flow.
Sustainable Flow
Flow is the condition in which you become fully absorbed in a task, almost forgetting your own presence, a sense of pure creative commitment to the task at hand.
Clarity of Conditions
Instead of getting lost in a mental maze of half a dozen 'important projects' with action items in your head, on a schedule, in notes, and lost in old Journals, Atomic Journaling ensures you have every piece of relevant up to date reflection for your progress at your finger-tips.
Habitual Accomplishment
Atomic Journaling becomes so second nature without needing to learn or invent new productivity strategies that you will ease into making progress as accomplishment becomes your default habit.
Feedback On Pre-Cursors To The Atomic Journal
"Been told I could do anything I wanted, but never knew the right path to take. I believe you have the truth about life. Many thanks"
John Watson
Once again, you hit me where I live! All my life I have been rejecting my programming and knew there was a better way

I find your maps to life very useful and enlightening to say the least. You put life in perspective. Once you see it you can see your own life at a glance and will know where you need to improve. I find it very educating. Thank You.

By gaining insight into what I truly wanted for myself and not just reaching and achieving goals by society’s standards, I have actualized many experiences that would have taken multiple lifetimes.

I’ve become a completely different person that I don’t even understand myself. Complete calmness. Less of a worrier.

..I keep reading all of these crazy books talking about writing down goals and such. My favorite of all time is the Science of Getting Rich.
For some reason my ego thinks that it seems to easy, to good to be true, you know. To just get a clear vision of want you want. I find it hard to really focus on my objectives.
Usually, I get glimpses of them, during a certain song or something, but never for long.
The questionnaires are a project.
I seem to be able to get to deeper states of focus when I do the questionnaires. I guess because I got something to finish. I don’t really know. But they do good for me.
I need to live my dreams, and the questionnaires help me focus on the goals and the steps to complete them.
Thanks Gav, great stuff

..'Celestine Prophecy'.. ' A Course in Miracles'. May I say yours ranks right up there with them. Keep on keeping people thinking.

Very very well done! I wish I had found your site a year ago! Thanks to your handbook, I will never be able to hide behind ignorance again. I will know that if I don’t make progress from here it is because I choose inaction. I can tell you put your heart, soul, and brain into it.

I was intrigued by what appeared to be something different and perhaps more effective then the GTD [Getting Things Done by David Allen] approach.
It seems your system has a more organic/natural and complete feel to it.

Your principles and techniques go very well along with Napoleon Hill's and complete them. I went through... and I'm following it to the letter. So far so good.

FAQ
Bullet Journaling is cool. It's fluid and helps you juggle a thousand to-do lists. You may even still want to use Bullet Journaling combined with Atomic Journaling. But Atomic Journaling is another ball game entirely.
Reading productivity books is great, watching YouTube influencer videos, or scrolling through productivity tips from Instagram influencers is all well and good, very helpful, inspirational, but does not give you a tight system of control that feels entirely natural and personalized to you.
Other journals take a blank slate systematized approach like Bullet Journaling, or a strict fill in the blanks approach.
Brilliance does not fit into 30 minute windows. Creativity doesn't fit into strict time slots. Appointments are for calendars not journals. Atomic Journaling sets you free to focus on the most forward-moving initiatives of your life without the gimmick of shoe-horning your greatness into a daily task schedule.
Atomic Journaling includes 3 types of page: Initiatives (at the front of the Journal), Updates (the majority if the Journal occupying the middle section, and reviews, taking up the final pages). We also include several pages of instruction, best practice tips, and key points from the authors upcoming book Atomic Cognition.
The idea of atomic structure is the micro-components of matter that exist to form our experience. Atomic Journal creator Gavriel Shaw is working on a book called Atomic Cognition that teaches the mind how to think profoundly, accurately and quickly for modern day life and the oncoming era of Artificial Intelligence. Atomic Journaling enables Atomic Cognition.
